I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand. I just scraped in as a late 80’s baby. I am a professional nanny and it has been a great way to connect with what I love!
Having just returned from a seven week trip overseas I returned inspired with my love of food as I noticed that most of what I posted on Facebook during my trip away was pictures of food and oh so yummy cocktails! It released the food tiger within me to run across the pages of a blog. So here I am, starting a new journey and a new chapter in my life. Both scary and exhilarating.
I heard someone describe themselves as an active relaxer because they suffered from depression. I thought about what that meant and it rang true within me. That is the reason why I love being in the kitchen as well as other things like gardening, which is my second love. It gets that chatter box inside your head out in the open and you enjoy just being in the moment, creating something that makes you happy. That to me is what’s important.
So that’s how Toot Sweet was born. When you love doing something time has no relevance and there’s a sweetness at the end that only comes with sugary treats!
